Car Hire

Hi all

myself %26amp; my friend are travelling to Paphos 10/5/09 for a week.

had a quick look on the net and can hire a car for around £110.

Previously (in spain) I%26#39;ve found cheaper deals when I%26#39;ve actually got to the airport - it seems all the rental companies are in competition. Is this the same in Paphos and would I be better hiring when I get there??

Also, I%26#39;ve seen mixed reports on the weather at the moment.......it is hot and sunny???

Thanks in advance

My experience last summer (high season) was not the case. On the surface the deals looked better but didn%26#39;t include CDW, extra drivers etc. Once these little extras were added on they were more expensive for what I was wanting. I paid £370 sterling for 3 weeks hire of a nissan micra in August last year so your £110 for the week sounds about right.

Can%26#39;t comment on the weather because unfortunately I%26#39;m not resident out there but Kev the Cyrpus Piper is and I%26#39;m sure he will respond and advise accordingly.

Have a great time

Fiona

Thanks Fiona.

We%26#39;re staying in my friends parents place and they know someone so we%26#39;ve managed to get a car for £100 all in.

Thanks again.

How about sharing the car hire details with others on the forum - seems like a good deal?

You will always save money if you hire in Cyprus. There is so much competition and the rental market is flooded with cars. All hotels, holiday companies will take at least 15% off the rental company, so there is a saving straight away. Go direct to the company, ask for discount and don%26#39;t pay for extras there is no need to it should be fully inclusive.

If you pay for extras you are been ripped off.

Just noticed you are here now ! it%26#39;s nice weather, yes. Lot%26#39;s of red tourists in Limassol so the sun must be burning that delicate skin.
