Konnos Bay - you can get a taxi or a bus opposite Knights Bar - taxi can arrange to collect you later. Beautiful beach and scenery with lovely walks. There is a very pleasant coastal walk a couple of minutes from the Polycarpia - go down to the seafront, turn right and the coastal path will take you to Protaras, turn left and you can walk to the beach in front of The Golden Coast hotel - follow the coast round and there is a lovely little harbour. Take a bus ride to Paralimni - bus stops outside Knights Bar and runs every half hour or thereabouts. Pleasant village with a lovely church and square where you can people watch. Boat rides can be booked on the coastal path or at the harbour or indeed any of the travel agencies in Pernera. There is a good full day off road 4 x 4 safari trip to the Troodos mountains which again can be booked at any of the travel agencies - we have used the one at Platon Car Hire which is near the bank and found them to be reliable. Well worth doing . There are also coach trips to The Troodos which are perhaps more comfortable than a Land Rover but you won%26#39;t get to see as much as you will off road. The safari trip should cost you around 28/30CYP for a full day including lunch and you get to see little villages, monasteries and the spectacular scenery of The Troodos. There are regular bus ser vices to Protaras and Ayia Napa. If you fancy walking to a lovely little bay with beautiful scenery walk past Knights Bar until you come to the chinese restaurant on the corner and The Windmills restaurant. Turn right down that road, continue to the beach and just keep walking along the path past The Golden Coast Hotel - you will then come to the harbour. Walk past the harbour to the top of the road, turn right and continue walking (will seem as if you are heading into nowhere) until you see a sign Sirena Bay on the right hand side. Will take you about half an hour but it is lovely little bay with a typical Cypriot taverna and beautiful clear seas. From Pernera you will see the church on the top of a hill in Protaras. Spectacular views from there.

Have a lovely time

Hi Kath

Do you know if the coastal path from pernera to protaris has been completed yet?

regards judith

And there%26#39;s www.redbuscyprus.com which tours the villages with a commentary.

Not sure if the coastal path is totally completed but it is certainly well up to speed and should be done by the start of the season. i think they were just waiting for the lighting (but you know the pace Cypriots work at!!!) I was against it to start with because I thought it would take away some of the charm of the coast but I%26#39;ve changed my mind. Think it will be a great asset and will be a nice walk into Protaras in the evening.

On the subject of the Red Bus - this is a great tour, I really enjoyed it.

Yes it is finished walked on only 5 days ago, what a god send, much better than before, far easier than walking the roads and we noticed that the road way was quite dark too where the coastel work seems to be lit up.
