We are hoping to visit paphos at the beginning of July and doing a bit of research into hotels to stay in. Has anyone got any recommendations? We are looking for 4 star plus bed and breakfast, near to local bars and restaurants, but not %26#39; banging%26#39; nightife if you know what i mean! We were looking at the Coral Beach Hotel 5 star but reviews are not that great! Would welcome any recommendations from you guys. Cheers

Depends on your budget and what exactly you want - styles, level of service etc....
Top end 5*
I would try Elysium or Amathus in Paphos, both great hotels in my opinion
Mid range 4*
Athena Beach - Royal beach i think is adults only, both a little further away from the harbor than Amathus but you can walk in around 20 mins
Alexander The Great - Older style hotel than the others but is in a great location in the centre. Still about 10 mins from bar street where the louder clubs and pubs are but still very close to good bars and cafes
Others migt say otherwise and to be fair i%26#39;ve not been for 2 years but i don%26#39;t think it%26#39;s changed that much

Hi
Would recommend the Amathus Beach if its within your budget. We found it faultless when we stopped there.

Hi
We have stayed in 11 different hotels in Paphos over the years when we used to holiday here and I can say that the best we have stayed in is the Amathus. Really lovely hotel in a nice location.

Another one I urge you to consider is the Almyra hotel. I really like it very much!!

thanks for your responses guys! I will have a look into them. Cheers !

Another vote for the Paphos Amathus. We stay there most times we go to Paphos. We have also stayed at the Elysium and it is nice but we prefer the Amathus. There are some good restaurants near to the Amathus.

Hi
We have been to Paphos quite a few times now and we always stay in the same hotel!
Alexander the Great Beach Hotel it by far in our opinion the best hotel we have stayed in! private beach, great location, lovely food with good choices, staff are very polite and helpful, great sea views.
You are only 10 min walk to harbour, and less to a great choice of bars, restuarants and shops.
There is a market which is really good, we walked there and it took us about 45 mins but we like walking and there are some great views along the way including some fantastic bakery shops!!! not good for your diet though.
Paphos is great and I am sure you will have a great time, and you won%26#39;t regret choosing Alexander the great as your hotel.
Enjoy
