Hotel for Silver Wedding Anniversary

Planning to go to Cyprus in 2011 for our silver wedding anniversary (I know its a long way off but want to start planning now to make sure that the break is a special one)

Is anyone able to recommend a decent hotel. Would like the usual luxuries and not wanting to sound selfish would like a hotel without kids. This will be our first holiday without our children for quite a number of years.

We have never been to Cyprus before hence the request to all you Cyprus experts for your recommendations.

Thanks in advance.

Do you plan on visiting the North or South side of the island?

Think it will be the south of the island. Thanks in advance

I realise your trip is still some way off but have you booked accommodation yet? You have chosen the right side of the island (so that%26#39;s a start) but it has become very %26quot;English%26quot; over the last 15 years.

To the previous comment, only certain places in some towns have become very English. These towns developed restaurants and pubs and so forth to suit the English taste so that they can expand their clientale. There are some places that aren%26#39;t influenced by the English but you need to travel to get there.

Anyway, to answer your question, there is a hotel in Paphos called the Royal Athena Beach hotel (or was Athena Beach? I can%26#39;t remember) and it is children free, adults only.

Not sure about other places, but this is a start for you! Travel agents in the UK should offer a holiday for this hotel.

Yes the Athena Royal is the only Adults only hotel I can think of (Adults Only now that conjures up something else lol)

also depending on the months that you want there may not be so many kiddies about, in that case nearly all hotels. If you want then I would suggest all the 5* hotels as that would eliminate the family type holidays due to cost
