any advice please,
my wife and i are staying at the marlita beach apartments in may, were are bringing along our 7 month old baby for his first holiday, (the wife wont let me leave him at home). as this is our first holiday with him we have a lot to think about.
will we be able to get food for him that he will be used to?
do the apartments have microwaves for sterilising bottles?
will there be sheets provided for the cotbed?
is the water ok to drink for the baby?
there are probably one hundred more questions like this so any advice at all about travelling with a young one will be greatfully recieved.
thanks

marlitahotelapartments.com/pages_eng/marlita…
Hope this helps maybe you could try e mailing the hotel to get answers to your questions, we haven%26#39;t actually stayed at the Marlita but have used the facilities and childrens club and found them to be very good.

jonandcal we stayed at marlita few years ago no microwave in apartments then but times have changed.i too think you should e-mail marlita to ask also there is a supermarket just round the corner where you will be able to get food for the baby,on the water subject with a little baby stay safe buy the bottled water some people say the water is ok but we always buy it.

Baby food is avaible from all markets and chemists. Not sure about your accomodation but a quick phone call should answer your questions. Water in Cyprus is 100% safe to drink, never an issue with water in forty years. It may be a little hard but other than that it is as good if not better than the UK. Be aware the sun is very hot, baby should only be in it for a very short period with block on. Loose clothing and always a hat and fluid always at hand.

thanks for replying so quick,
its good to have the hotel website now and i see on it that the hotel has just been refurbished so hopefully it will all be done by the time we get there.
looking forward to the holiday now, less than two weeks away, dont worry about the baby getting sunburn, the wife has brought him so many hats, sunblocks and even a sun tent, that there will just be room in my case for one pair of shorts for me.
thanks again for the advice, if you think of anything else that would be helpfull please post,
thanks,
jon and cal.

I will stand corrected on this but I understood, although the water in Cyprus is perfectly OK to drink, it has a very high mineral content and baby should have bottled water.

we have bought a travel steriliser from boots for around £7, its really easy to use, you just need cold water and sterilising tablets.
Also check you airline for infant luggage allowance
We fly with eurocypria and infants are entitled to 10kg of free luggage!
