Going to Cyprus 31 May for a week, has anyne any experience of the Gay Scene around Limassol as a number of places are listed on the net and a couple in Sparticus. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi, not sure about Limassol. There is a place there but I%26#39;ll ask my friend.
In Paphos, there is a bar called Different, which is found on the bar street. Owned by two guys, both gay. Panayiotis and George.
In Larnaca, there is a gay nightclub called Secret. I don%26#39;t know the directions there but I can get contact details if you want?

It is not a culture deemed right here in Cyprus and Gay%26#39;s cannot marry here at all. I heard on the grapevine that due to the dwindling tourist market they were considering it. Limassol are contemplating opening the market to Gay%26#39;s and as you say it seems to have already started

There isn%26#39;t a scene as such, just the odd place and certainly nothing like you will be used to in the UK.
I seem to remember someone posting a similar question last year. You could try the search facility to see what replies he got.

The gay scene is alot bigger than it was 3 years ago There are gay bars in all the major areas, you will have to ask someone else for details.
The Government are now looking at welcoming the pink £ at all there major resorts, with more emphasis on advertising Cyprus as a gay friendly island. It may take a year or so but Cyprus is changing.
