Is there plenty of banks in protaras to withdraw euros do you have to go in over the counter or can you withdraw from cash machines. and do most restuarants take credit card whats the saftest way ???

I usually go into the bank, and get most of my money as you only get charged once, and there isnt a limit like the cashpoints, they usually ask to see your passport

We prefer using the cashpoints (Cypriots refer to them as ATMs). We both take our cards in case one gets lost and we find it easier to budget, and we can get access any time - but each to their own. There are plenty of ATMs in protaras on the main strip.

Loads of places to withdraw money and all restaurants take credit cards. Change sterling over in Cyprus.

Using a credit card is usually expensive. Get clued up by reading:

Probably safer to take a prepaid card nowadays.
