Hi,
I am looking to book a last minute holiday probably within the next two weeks and quite fancy paphos. Is anybody able to tell me if the sea is warm enough to swim in at this time of year? Thanks.

This is the thing I would not go in it as it%26#39;s too cold for me but there are plenty of tourist who think it is OK, personally although it is warming up I would give it till 3rd week of April, should be nice and warm by then

My father went swimming. He measures the temperature on his watch. Said it was 20 degrees when he went the other day. Quite warm for him!

Chilly to start with but once you get your shoulders under and acclimatised its OK.

It is still cold. I do still swim in it though, good for the circulation. One thing I do notice, tourists genrally stand in it a move slowly shivvering as they go, you have to be bold and just jump in and then move quickly. Enjoy, the best excercise you can get and very good for the skin.

Cypriot lady once told me always to swim in the sea three times a day if you could, not to use a towel to dry but to let the salt dry naturally on your skin, this would keep your skin lovely and ward off colds. She also said never to use swimming pools because of the chemical content. I have to agree - the sea is lovely. If the chemicals in swimming pools can strip nail varnish goodness knows what they do to your skin.

Good advice. Another one for you, when in the sea rub sand all over your body, circular motion. Great for removing dead skin layers and those horrible peeling tans.
One more, use a very small amount of olive oil on your hair when you have been in the sea (at the beach) it stop hair drying out and stops split ends, wash well when you get back home.
