I was in Cyprus for the first time last year and we loved it we are over in a few weeks for my son wedding i want to visit Nicosia and wondered if there is a local bus that can take me there from Protaras.

There is - I%26#39;m not sure where you pick it up but your hotel should be able to tell you. My friend went on it last year - took a couple of hours each way.

the direct bus goes mid week picking up at most resorts just go into any hotel and ask.
runs from Ayia Napa picks up in Protaras, Pernera,Kapparis(sunny coast) and paralimni
takes about 2 hours and drops off at the city wall carpark, 5 min walk to ledra street
