Hi all,
Off to Pissouri Bay for the first time this coming May. Already had some great advice from posters.
Just wondering, as we have a car (from Savvas), are there any places we should try and visit during our stay?
Always enjoy visiting local countryside and maybe having a nice meal along the route.
Thanks.

Hi,
You can do the following:
1) See Petra Tou Romeio (restaurant opposite)
2) See the Kolossi Castle in Limassol district
3) See the Kouklia ruins / Basilica
4) Visit the Kourion ampitheatre
Further into the Paphos region visit the following:
1) The Paphos Fort
2) The mosaics
3) Archeological ruins
4) Tombs of the Kings
5) The Akamas national reserve
6) The Avakas gorge also in the Akamas
7) The turtle conservation in Lara Bay in the Akamas
Do try and spend a day in Nicosia and do:
1) Wander along Ledras Street which leads the the border crossing into occupied parts. Cross over and explore the occupied Nicosia parts
2) Look around the Venetian Walls
3) Visit some musuems. The Archeological and History musuems are good.
And also, go to Troodos. Visit the Caledonian Falls and have a good walk around the forest!

For a really nice and peaceful bay head out of Pissouri bay and take the B6 towards Limmasol.
After about 10 minutes you will come to a small sign saying Melanda beach. Take the dirt road thorugh the fields until you come to the end.
There%26#39;s a taverna and a practically deserted beach. The great thing about this beach is that once you are in the water the bottom is sandy so a lot easier on the feet than Pissouri Bay.
Also recommend a trip to Latchi via Paphos and Polis. It%26#39;s about an hours drive through beautiful scenery - I%26#39;d take the Polis road out of Paphos and then come back from Latchi on the coast road to Paphos. Views are stunning as you drive back down the hill towards Coral Bay.
