hi there everyone we booked a villa for sat 2nd may for a week just a short break the guy who we rented the villa has said that is near the petrol station then turn down to hotel paschilia can anyone tell me do they know the exact whereabouts of the villas and if so how far to amenities I know its quicker to walk along the coastal path to perena and protaras or get the bus which we will probably do but just didnt want to be stuck out in the middle of nowhere which I think we might be. There are 4 of us going (no kids) hiring a car for 3 days but just want to be able to stroll out and find local amenities. anyones help greatly appreciated

Sounds like they are the villas opposite the waterpark. You can cut through behind the Artemis hotel to get onto the main road to Protaras(at least you used to be able to).

thanks for your reply then from artemis is it far do you know any amenities round there or is it in the wilds thanks also how far walk to perena

I%26#39;m just guessing so don%26#39;t take it as gospel but IF it is the villas opposite the waterpark then you are very central for everything.A short walk down the hill(heading towards the Anastasia hotel,Marlita Beach etc )brings you to several bars and restaurants. If you head straight on instead of downhill you%26#39;re a short walk to the main street in Pernera. If you turn left and walk a few hundred yards you are on the main Protaras road.Like I said I%26#39;m only guessing that%26#39;s the villas but if it%26#39;s near the Paschalia then it won%26#39;t be far away.

thats great he did say they were on the protaras road near the petrol station how can you tell im a newbie cyprus

If you%26#39;ve got Google Earth then copy/paste these co-ordinates into the Fly to part in the top left corner. This will take you right on top of the Paschallia and you can get an idea of distances from here.
35° 01%26#39; 31.83%26quot; N 34° 02%26#39; 26.95%26quot; E

You can also paste those coordinates into http://maps.google.com
Please note that the satellite images are dated September 2003... a lot of development has happened since then.

If its the petrol station I think it is on the top road you won%26#39;t have any problems. You will be close to all amenities.

there is a good pub just down the road from your vila called the western star the owner is a nice guy who will make you very welcome, before you get to the pub theres a chinese called chopsticks last time i was there it was still open.lots of people on some of the forums are not going back to cyprus as its too exspensive but its the same everywhere thats in the euro just shop around its surprising the difference in prices of drink, meals etc i think the more you go nearer to aiya-napa the more exspensive it is pernera seems to be cheapest.we stayed at nissi beach last year and thought it was too pricey
