vangelis right in the middle of main strip so central for everything beach just across road. street is one way to cars and speed bumped so is safe.

weather been ok for last couple of days but its chilly at night still so bear that in mind. this time of year weather up and down still but if it rains it doesnt usually last too long

Just back from the vangelis in protarus. All in all the hotel was ok. If I had a disapointment it was that the food could have been hotter. There was plenty of variety so no complaints on that score. Our appartment was ok - though the third cot bed was a bit uncomfortable for my son ( he is 15 stone however) A child or teenager should be ok. The weather was great 23-25 degrees with only one rain shower which did not iconvenience us. There are two places to eat that I can recommend - Cheers Bar which is very friendly and good food also La Pas is the same. Rieves bar is ok for drinks - food not so good. Anyone going self catering would be advised to pack a few essentials. Robinsons Juices are nearly 4 euros, Cereals 3-4 euros and small 250grm spreads for bread 2.50. Buses run from outside the hotel to Ayia Napa and also Paralimi 1.50 euro per journey. Only thing is they run on GMT time - greek maybe time!!! Beaches were good and pretty. Hope this info is useful

Hi ya, Thanks for your reply i have found it very usefull.

hi,

i will be visiting cyprus for the first time in two weeks. i have opted for half board at the malama holiday village. has anyone ever been there before?

i see that some things are expensive in cyprus, does anyone know the cost of lunch for a family of 5(2 adults, 3 kids)the reason i ask is because i have the option to upgrade to all inclusive. i have not got the first idea what lunch or a beer will cost. help!

|||

you will probably find you can upgrade while you are there, probably cheaper than before you go, i would get there and have a meal out and then work it out then, sometimes if you upgrade and the food isnt very good you have paid and are stuck with it
