Going to protaras in june and l have never been to cyprus before so would just like a bit of info from anyone who%26#39;s been to protaras before on what the resort is like. Is there many bars and restaurants there with lots of choice. What%26#39;s the weather like in june and is it expensive for food and drink. Really looking foward to this holiday so any bars and places to eat that is recommended would be of great help.........Thanks

Plenty to do, ive been 8 times, beaches superb, my favourite bar is Rockafellas on the main strip, nice restaurants, are corner restaurant, island affair, rocks, la strada, astoria, anatolia. Eden square is really nice for a drink, there are many tribute acts know and there not really my thing, but ok if you want a bit of light entertainment. The water park in Napa is a must do, brill day out, any more info just ask.

Hi
Weather in June will be lovely we find in June it tends to get hotter by the week but even at the start its still late 20%26#39;s early 30%26#39;s. There are lots of bars and so many restaurants to choose from, I would recomend Diva restaurant and also Corner restaurant, there%26#39;s everything really from a McDonalds to Cypriot to Indian, pretty much anything you could wish for. Price wise, i%26#39;ve not been since its changed to the Euro, people on here have said its got more expensive but I%26#39;ve always thought Protaras is that little bit more expensive than other places near by anyway but I don%26#39;t think it%26#39;s too bad. I wish I could remember the names of the bars we like but i can never remember them, but I guarantee you will find something that suits.
Have a fab time!

Hi Ray,
You are in for a treat!!
Protaras is lovely, we had our honeymoon there a while ago. Lots of bars and restaurants to try (if you are there for a fortnight you could probably eat at a different restaurant every day for breakfast, lunch and dinner!!) The main street is quite lively and bustling if you fancy a late one but peace can always be found (we headed to the Pernera area for quieter evening).
Beaches are beautiful, Fig Tree Bay had the clearest sea water I had ever seen in my life, the photos look like pool water, although it is a very busy beach.
The water park in Ayia Napa is huge but here%26#39;s a tip, there is a small water park in Protaras itself (if it%26#39;s still open?) which was always deserted when we went (and we went late June, early July).....it was like having our own private water park! Defintely more relaxing than the pool at the hotel.
Cant remember any of names of the restaurants we went to but we never had a bad meal.
You can expect the temperature to be high 20%26#39;s low 30%26#39;s. Hope you have Air con!
Enjoy!
