We had a booking for this hotel in September but unfortunately the booking has been cancelled as the hotel is closing. Please can anyone recommend something similar in Bellapais? We are looking for a smaller hotel, not too expensive.

Hi, I now work for a tour Operator here, all of our guests that were booked into the Residence or Abbey Inn have been transferred to www.bellaview.net another worth trying is www.bellapaismonasteryvillage.com/

The only %26quot;small%26quot; hotels in Bellapais are Bellapais Gardens which is somewhat more expensive and probably fully booked, and the Abbey Inn. The Residence has had an unfortunate short history of repeated closures, it`s also right on the main road in the centre of the village. If you are a party of 4 or more a villa/house might be a better and more cost effective solution; if so try %26quot;holiday lettings%26quot; website. I wouldn`t recommend Bellapais Monastary Village, it`s big and naff IMHO.

The Abbey Inn is also closed as it is owned by the same people as The Residence. If you specifically want to be in Bellapais itself then I would agree with Gibson about a private villa. There are plenty available. Or maybe something like this http://www.falcons-crest-cyprus.com/home.php - 1 bed bungalows with shared pool. The website says it is a 5 minute walk to the village.

Hello,
We are thinking of using this hotel for a week holiday... is this really closing?
Thanks
