Hi,
I%26#39;m currently looking for options for my boyfriend and I for a last minute week in the sun in May/June. We like a nice beach, doesn%26#39;t have to be sandy, somewhere not hugely commercial/touristy, with a variety of nice restaurants and bars for the evenings. We%26#39;re not really clubbing sort of people!
Can anyone suggest which resort/area of resort would suit us best?

If your looking for a nice beach, then I would suggest you tried the Protaras area. It is very near Ayia Napa but don%26#39;t let this scare you. Ayia Napa is very touristy whereas Protaras is preferred by both Cypriots and tourists.
You can find good restaurants and bars.
If you are looking for a more laid-back place, then Coral Beach in Paphos is a great place. However, the restaurants and bars there tend to be touristy and their quality is not very good. You can always go to Paphos for a meal and a drink which is approx. 10 km away, but you will need a car if you intend to come back late at night.
Latsi (again in Paphos area) is on the NW part of the island, close to Polis. It is a quiet little place very near the Akamas peninsula which is a nature-reserve.
Limassol is a lively city, with great restaurants and bars and the hotels are of high quality. The beach is not great. There are some beaches outside the city which are better but you need a car to go there.
Just some general suggestions. :)
