Wedding ceremony and reception at Athena Beach

Hello,

My fiance and I have decided we would like to get married at the Athena Beach in May 2010.

We like the look of the gazebo but would ideally want an outside reception.

I%26#39;ve been told we can have the dinner at the Adonis pool bar but I cant find any pictures of it on the web and I%26#39;m a bit worried it wont be very private.

Has anyone seen it or had their reception there and would you recomend it?

Hi Tara

If it is the one I am thinking off then Yes it is by the pool bar to the right of the hotel. Why I am a bit confused is that the reception can also be at the Athena Royal but even so that is within the pool area as well.

Its at the Athena Beach not Athena Royal. The hotel have sent me a pic of the tables layed out at the bar but I cant see what else is around - just wondering if anyone else has had their reception there, and if so - were other hotel residents allowed in that area?

Can I just clarify - is the Athena Royal right next door to Athena Beach and could we have the ceremony at Athena gazebo and the reception at the Royal Athena?

We have stayed at the Athena Beach on two occasions. It is a beautiful hotel. Try %26amp; get a room in the central area of the hotel. Between the two towers. Top floors are best, sea view. That way you get the sun nearly all day.

The Athena Royal is right next door to the Athena Beach. The Athena Royal is the newest of the the two hotels. But in my oppinion the positioning of the Athena Beach has it right. The two hotels are virtually side by side %26amp; linked by the bowling greens/tennis courts.

Finally, I believe the Adonis Bar Area is right outside the main resturant area beside the pool %26amp; only in use Summer only.

Having said all that we are getting married 29th May next month. But not at he the Athena Beach. We are getting married in a Chapel %26amp; are working on the reception on a boat.

The Athena is right next door to the Athena Royal, the Gazebo at the Athena Beach is located to the far right of the hotel very close to the Royal, I am sure if you stay at the Royal all weddings are conducted in the Athena beach Hotel grounds but you can use the Royal for the reception

My Fiance and I are getting married at the Athena Beach, under the gazebo on 15th June 09. I will have a look at the Adonis pool and let you know what the surroundings are like.
