gluten free food

Hi, going to Rising Star Apts,Protaras in July and my daughter of 9 is a celiac so has to eat all gluten free food, would anyone be able to tell me do the supermarkets sell gluten free food and also do restaurants cater for celiacs as in serveing gf food. Would love to know this before I go, as if her food is going to be hard to get I will have to try and bring some food with me for her. Thank you for any help and advise

Hi,

I suggest that you go to a major hypermarket or supermarket. Orphanides is a good one but am not sure if there is one in Protaras. They have a section on the aisle for people with dietary needs.

Otherwise, there are lots of fruit, veg and salads available for you to eat. Lots of meaty foods don%26#39;t usualy have flour in them when they are being cooked.

Hi clo99,

There is an Orphanides supermarket as you enter Paralimni from Protaras and you should try them as I seem to remember seeing what you are looking for (rice cakes, pasta etc).

I don%26#39;t know if you can find anywhere else in the area foodstuffs specifically for celiacs and I%26#39;d recommend bringing with you as many treats for your daughter as possible.
