Just back from a week in Paphos at the Limnaria Gardens apartments. No complaints about the apartment itself which was lovely but BEWARE! There is a lot of building work going on there and whilst some blocks will enjoy relative quiet others will be woken up at 7am when the building work starts and continues all day long! Noisy and very dirty as you can imagine. This work will not be finished before end of the Summer 2009. Anyone hoping for a peaceful break will be out of luck. I was most annoyed that the letting company had not warned me about this. The pool area may be up and running for the summer but the workers will still be around. Anyone in blocks D, E, G and not facing the pool area will have the worst of the noise. On a plus point the apartments when complete will be lovely and very central. There are at least 3 VERY good restaurants within a 100 yards of the apartments.

Im due to Go to the apartments in April. I will be staying in Block B. Is it worthwhile cancelling and trying somewhere else or do you think Block B should be quiet enough. How was your weather. This is mt first time to Cyprus are the Limnaria gardens a good base restaurants and the like.

We own in Block D of Limnaria. Block B is the block furthest away from the building work. I havent been out yet this year but am due to go on thursday. As far as I am aware the only building taking place now is around the back of Blocks E G and H so if you are pool facing there should be minimal disruption. It all depends on what bothers you really, we have holidayed 6 times a year in the last 2 years and the building work doesnt really bother me. We had a disruption last year when they decided to dig up out path to the pool (we are ground floor) but it was rectified quite quickly and the building works are nearly finished. We take delivery of our 2nd apartment in April in Block G so this gives some indication to the completion of the works

Weather was sunny but cold and windy sometimes. Certainly needed a jacket for the evenings. That was March though. We love Cyprus and Paphos in particular. We have only been twice; the fist time only in December so it tells you something that we wanted to return so soon! Limnaria Gardens is lovely but as I said there is building works. It will affect you less in Block B and if you are facing the pool it will be lovely. Don%26#39;t worry, your holiday will be great. The people in Cyprus are lovely, polite and helpful. The restaurants close by either side of Limnaria Gardens are really good. The Pagoda, Chinese restaurant not particularly cheap for Chinese food but good quality. Zaza%26#39;s on the other street to the side of the apt. block definitely to be recommended and the Lamb Klefiko is to be highly recommended. The Colosseum Italian restaurant across from Zaza%26#39;s is also good and on one night a week they have an Elton John tribute act which is fun. Hope this sets your mind at rest. Enjoy your holiday..so jealous!

The final two blocks (E and G) have now been completed so all the blocks surrounding the two pools are now completed. THe second pool is due to be filled with water any day now

The trouble with blocks being %26#39;finished%26#39; is whether they are finished inside or just outside.
If just outside, then things look ok but...
...while the builders are doing the internal fittings it can be pretty noisy because all the banging echoes in the empty rooms.
This is speaking from experience, not necessarily Limnaria Gardens, as I%26#39;m not there at the moment. However, it could explain apparent discrepancies in posts.

I visit the complex nearly every day. Block E is fully completed inside and out and as far as I am aware so is Block G. We have a number of clients that have already taken possession.

Hi
We are stopping in Limnaria Gardens at the moment. The situation with the building work is as follows:-
Block E finished
Block G almost finished, finished cosmetically from the outside apart from the coffee shop and some people have already taken delivery. We went in our apartment which we take delivery of in April, mainly finished apart from air con etc.
Around the back of Block H, Block E and next to block K they are building villas, at the moment they are working on the brickwork in the structure of the villa so there is very little noise and dust. The road around the complex is complete, the new pool is ready for opening, we asked when this would be and we were told anyday now - in fact they have been working on some remedial works on the paving around the pool so we are expecting it to be open for Easter.
