May is usually the month things start to get moving. Cypriot Easter is over and air fares start to rise (always a sign) but the most important thing is the weather, it should be getting warmer.

There%26#39;s a thread on the eastern forum which is regularly updated on which restaurants/bars are open. It doesn%26#39;t list all establishments, but is a good indicator. Last updated 18 April.

Although it may be quiet most places will be up and running by the beginning of May.

We went on the 1st May a couple of years ago and about 60% of bars/restaurants were open but by the time we left a week later everything was up and running and it was getting a lot busier!

we went on april 12th for a week and there were plenty shops and bars open, the bigger theme bars were closed but we had a fab time and got great service everywhere we went, there easter was on april the 20th this year and we were informed all the other shops and bars would start to open after easter
