Wireless Internet

I%26#39;m due to stay in a rented villa in Argaka later this month - and can%26#39;t wait :-).

Is there any service in Cyprus that offers wireless (3G etc) intenet call plans (ideally PAYG) for laptops ?

I could take over a PAYG wireless adaptter from the UK, but I would expect the roaming charges would be through the roof.

Any advice more than welcome.

did you manage to get a wireless connection for your laptop? i%26#39;m going out there in may and was wondering the same thing.

There are only 2 companies in Cyprus that provide mobile telephony services. You can check their websites to see if you can find what you need:

www.cytamobile-vodafone.com

www.mtn.com.cy

In the end I%26#39;ve ended up using WiFi internet at the local cafe%26#39;s / restaurants.

One is currently sat in Polis (Savvas Cafe) using their free WiFi connection. - As long as you buy a drink / food most of the locals are ore than happy to let you sit and surf the web.
