Hi, I think that the Laxia developments are private villas however, I know of at least 2 that have been rented out in the past! I know several people that can help you, so If you would like me to find out for you please pm me your email and what you are looking for.

Cheers

thanks for your reply nemo and your info.i have now booked a villa at the laxia 2 complex for 2 weeks in september and it looks very nice.i booked it through holiday rentals on web site as i thought this would be the best way to get a good self catering holiday this year with the state of the pound against the euro even better if you are a family.if you know of anyone who has stayed at this complex any info would be welcome.ps do you know of any good quality butchers shops in the pernera area.

There%26#39;s a decent bakery/butchers on the top road going into Protaras from Pernera on the left hand side. Sorry hopeless with names but I%26#39;ve had nice meat and bread from there. Also L %26amp; G supermarket in Pernera and of course the big Orphanides on the road to Paralimni.

Maybe the Laxia 2 complex is near the Laxia Palace restaurant, as you say %26quot;just outside Pernera%26quot;, so you will need a car.

There%26#39;s a good butcher shop called Rodolfus. One of the butchers is Brian, a Scot. If you go past Orphanides, take second right (Elizantre furniture shop on corner) and it%26#39;s just past there on the right. A bit further down on the left is a bakery open 24/7 which also sells basic foodstuff (milk, butter, cheese etc.)

Also, before you get to Orphanides, on the right, there%26#39;s a new deli called Taste of England which has good reports for their cold meats and pies etc. Next to Spicer%26#39;s Sausages!

Paralimni also has two other large supermarkets - Carrefour and Kokkinos, both on 1st April Street.

have a look on holiday lettings web site there are some really good deals on there!

I agree with the comments about the butchers opposite Orphanides (Rodolpos?) Many of the locals get fresh meat there!

Hi there, Our family of 5 stayed in this location and found it very plesant indeed...

We stayed at No7 with the pool facilities litrally just a skip %26amp; a jump from the Villa, Which proved great for our children, The views from the 1st floor balcony were great which also aloud us to keep a watchful eye on the children while playing in the pool.

In our opinion we would definitly go back to the Laxia 2 nice beeches to be enjoyed and pleasant strolls from resorts like Penera %26amp; Protaros.

I hope this helps.

thanks for the info poshbird i am now looking forward to my holiday in september i know the area quit well but was wondering about the villa but that has helped me.could you tell me if you hired a car when you where there and how much it cost you ? i know that a taxi will cost 55 euros each way form the airport.

Hi There Fechan...

The Car hire was all organised by the family that owns No.7...

I Emailed them earlier to ask who they used... The owner %26#39;Sharon%26#39; kindly emailed me back with: %26#39;EMPIRE%26#39; Rentals LTD. on 03457-9944889.

She mentioned the Gentlemans name to be Chris, Who is very helpful and will even drop the vehicle at the airport for you on your arrival if you so choose, He did for our family all at respectable rates...

So, It sounds to me she uses him on a regular basis, So, I suppose you could parhaps use her name as reference %26amp; possibly get better rates (cheeky I know) :)

Whilst you%26#39;re out there look out for a beech/bay, by the name of Konnos bay at Cape Grecko.. this is between %26#39;Laxia2 %26amp; Aiya Napa.

This is where my holiday started, absolutely blissful.

Good Luck %26amp; Enjoy

Poshbird
