Changing old Cyprus money

I just wondered if there is any way of changing Cyprus pounds as my neighbour wants to give some to mu grandson when we are in Paphos in September, would appreciate some advice please

Firstly, ready4off, Cyprus doesn%26#39;t use the Cyprus Pound anymore. They went over to the Euro at the begining of the year.

I think that Barclays will take any spare Cyprus Pounds off you and change them to GBP or Euros.

Hi Ready. I had a few notes left from my holiday last year and changed them at Hays Travel. At the time ( 2 months ago) all high street travel agent would change Cyprus pounds. Hope this helps. Have a great holiday

Thank you so much for your information, I knew about the euro so that is why I asked, we will try to change them at Barclays when next in town. It will be a bit of spending money for my grandson, Cheers (Yamas) Cant wait to get back to Paphos eight weeks to wait now,

Didn%26#39;t want to teach you how to suck eggs but the meaning of your post wasn%26#39;t particularly clear to me. Anyway, you shouldn%26#39;t have any trouble changing your money, as long as it is in note form.

Have a lovely time.

Hi got back from Cyprus last week and had no problems changing cypriot pounds at the main banks.

You can redeem your Cyprus banknotes (and other pre-euro currencies) through The Currency Commission. I converted some old pounds, marks and lira through them.
