Can anyone tell me if there are any new indian restaurants around now? The one we always went to was the one on the main road, opposite a bar called Flintstones i think?? Just wondered if there were anymore now or if this one is still there as we haven%26#39;t been for a couple of years.

There%26#39;s a couple on the main road from Protaras to Pernera - sorry can%26#39;t remember their names and another new one last year The Shalimar in Pernera. I haven%26#39;t used them as I find I generally lose my %26quot;Indian head%26quot; when in Cyprus - its usually too hot and I can%26#39;t stomach a lot of food. The Shalimar I am told is quite expensive.

The one opposite Flinstones - I believe you mean the Raj. Very over rated IMHO. Another one opened up a couple of years ago a little further up the road (i.e. towards Pernera) called Ganga, which was excellent. I%26#39;m hoping it%26#39;s still open this year. It%26#39;s easily missed as it was on the first floor and the entrance is a up a narrow flight of stairs.
There%26#39;s a website called %26quot;Eastern Cyprus%26quot; and one of its forums is for restaurants in the Eastern side of the island. You%26#39;ll probably find more recommendations there.
