Paphos Supermarkets

Hi All,

Travelling out to Paphos in May for a fortnight, staying in a villa. Could anybody tell me which is the largest supermarket in the area as we%26#39;ll need to do a %26#39;big shop%26#39; when we arrive. We will have a car so travelling wont be an issue.

Thanks

The biggest and most modern one is Papantonious in Kato Paphos.

Make your way to the harbour and the big car park near the fort.

The supermarket is down a side street next to Peacocks (I think i is Peacocks - if not it is another of those cheap high street clothes places) and opposite Debenhams. There are parking spaces at the front, on the street and in the supermarket car park at the side.

It is as close to our Asda or Tesco as you can get in Cyprus and they do all the brands plus fresh local produce.

The best one is probably Orphanides at the Paphos Mall centre. Lots of things are cheap there and has more stuff than other supermarkets. But do an eye out and compare prices. Sometimes the 2 for 1 offers aren%26#39;t that brilliant!

You will find Orphanides on the main dual carriageway left hand side after the 1st roundabout which you will reach when you take the motorway after leaving the Paphos aiport.

There are other supermarkets such as E%26amp;S, Papantoniou and fruiteries.

Thanks for the info, we shall not go hungry now!

We also found the Orphnides at Paphos Mall to be good. Cheap for buying in bulk and the kind of rubbish us tourists tend to buy!! We stayed out at Coral Bay but made the trip in maybe once or twice a week when we were venturing that way. It had only just opened while we were there in July and was huge, clean and had plenty of parking. Make sure you have a 2Euro coin (or it might be 1 Euro I can%26#39;t quite remember!!) for the trolleys
