Nice quiet beaches in July / August

Evening All,

Happy Easter.

Could you recommend some nice quiet(ish) beaches to visit around the Polis / Akamas Peninsula in late July / early August this year please.

I%26#39;ll be honest and declare that I%26#39;m not a fan of crowded, cigarette end infested stetches of sand, then again who is?

Cheers

Hi Steve

Have you ever been to Cyprus in July / Aug or anywhere for that matter which is quiet lol I think your asking for too much.

I don%26#39;t think I have ever come across cigarette end infested stetches of sand either

Hi Kev,

Been to a few beaches in Spain which I couldn%26#39;t describe being clean in the slightest.

It was a general question really about some nice coves out of the way.

Hi Steve

There are some parts of sandy beaches but not too sure how many such as Lara Beach most beaches along the Akamas Peninsula are quite rocky, there are some coves that are sandy but all in all few and far between. I have travelled the coast road from Polis through to Argaka and further upto the border and it is very rocky. Try the west side of Latchi over to the lighthouse, again it may be the same, my best advice is to drive out and explore

here%26#39;s a map

Hi Kev

You are a star.

I really appreciate and value the advice I receive.

We%26#39;ve never been to Cyprus, only mainland Spain and France so this is a different type of holiday for us.

We are looking for a quieter, slower pace of holiday.

Thanks again.

Cheers

Steve.

All the beaches around Polis are quiet! Well, compared to Spain anyway. We like the beaches past Latchi going towards Aphrodites best. There%26#39;s a lovely small pebble beach with a good taverna called Takkas Bay. The main beaches either side of Latchi harbour are also usually quiet, but they have the added advantage of watersports if you want that sort of thing. No stretches of sand on the akamas peninsula though.

If you drive out of Polis towards Pomos you can stop off at a couple of spots along the way. The beaches are not particularly pretty but will be very quiet-bear in mind there will be no facilities so take some drinks and umbrellas for shade. Pomos is a pleasant little spot and you can swim from the beach there.
