anmaria

i%26#39;m staying at the anmaria hotel, ayia napa in june and i%26#39;m a little concerned by the reviews on here as they all seem to say that the food isnt that good! weve payed alot for this holiday and we are going all inclusive and i dont want this to ruin our time away, is there anyone whos been who can ellaborate more on why the food at this hotel isnt rated very highly?

i%26quot;ve stayed here twice first time was may o8 then oct o8,the breakfast was great lots to choose from like english breakfast, cereals, fruit, toast, orange juice, coffee and tea,the dinner was different, vegtables were rock hard they actually fell off my plate when i tries to cut them, found an ant in glass twice!the menu was different every night, like indian, chinese etc,the desserts was great! lots of cake!apart from the food the hotels great, right in the centre and rooms are nice and clean.

thank for the reply ive heard nothign but good reports about the hotel itself and the location, what kind of food do they do in the day ie: around the pool and snacks? is that ok? and also what time do they stop serving drinks as in the brochure it just says a minimum of 12hrs a day!

I dont know about that now,i was hb so i ate out for my lunch but i never seen any one eat around the pool, everyone went into the buffet area indoors,i know it was only 2 drinks per person if you were all inclusive,i think they started serving drinks at 9 or 10 in the morning right through to 11 or 12 at night!,

i stayed at the anmaria last year and have to agree the food wasnt up to much. The breakfast were fine and at lunch you wither had the buffet lunch which wasnt great or waited until 3pm for the snack bar to open which served pizza, burgers, omlettes etc all of which were really nice. Our main problem was the evening meals, we always found these really salty and was the same night after night, it got to the point where we were just eating there as we had to not because we enjoyed it. Haveing said that the rest of the hotel is lovely and the staff great, our only other gripe was that any one could walk in off the street and use the pool, you used to find the workers come in around lunch time take up any remaining sunbeds and stay there until around 6pm so if you wernt looking for a sunbed until after lunch you couldnt get one, personally i dont think this should be allowed. We never had any problems with the 2 drink rule and could get as many as we liked and the bar closed at 12 oclock
