Any experiences of the Grecian Sands hotel weddings ???

Hi, I live in Cyprus and so therefore can easily view places to marry but I wondered if anyone had had their wedding on the sea view deck of the Grecian Sands hotel ? I have put in a request for more information with the hotel, but obviously, the only honest reviews and opinions come from those who have experienced it. I am getting married in June 2009 and would probably have the ceremony around 430-5pm due to the heat this time of year. Any one who has had their wedding there, or been to a wedding at the Grecian Sands, please let me know your thoughts !!! Thanks, Carly.

I Think if you go there use the wedding co ordinator Suzanne and you cannot go wrong.

Do you have a photographer booked yet ????

My son is getting married there May 2009 we were on holiday in August this year staying in the Pernera area first time to Cyprus and we loved it cant wait to go back over for the wedding.

Anyway i visited Grecian Sands just went to the reception and they were very helpful and friendly i explained that my son was booked to stay there and they were having their wedding there i looked around then i met Suzzanne a fellow Geordie like myself she is brillant she answered all the questions my son fiance had wrote down for me to ask i called again when we hired the car took my camcorder with me then the 2nd week my son was on hols but stayed at Paphos they came over i met them and we went to see the Grecian Sands.Suzzanne was so helpful she went through with them what was on offer there is some beautiful rooms my future daughter-in-law said from the start she wanted to get married on the sea deck and that is what she has booked we watched from the sidelines a marriage getting done there and it looked wonderful we are having the BQ to cant wait have not heard a bad word about their wedding venues i am sure our weding is about 3.30pm and they only allow 2 weddings a day they seem to get booked pretty quick in our case they booked then had a look and were not disappointed we are happy with the arrangements now so when the day comes we are all going to enjoy it.If i was you i would go and see for yourself they probably do weddings all year round can not praise them enough.

Hi cockersgirl

I have attended many at the Grecian Sands here is the format on the hotel

Firstly Susanne is a really nice girl %26amp; willing to give you the best advise to make your day special, contact her she is very good

You will probably walk down the side of the hotel leading to the sea view deck where the gazebo is erected. The service will last approx 7 mins if that but it will seem longer as you gaze out to sea, the view is fantastic. Once the ceremony is finished you will walk towards another sheltered Gazebo for photo%26#39;s. You will then be led to the sea front mostly rocks but still a fantastic backdrop of the sea Ayia napa harbour in the foreground.

You will enjoy %26amp; I hope I have been of help

Yes when we were there looking around my son and his fiance had already booked the Grecian Sands and were over the moon what they saw you could see from the cafe area the wedding ceremonie and Suzzanne had said it only lasts 7 mins if that but as you say the view and the atmosphere is brillant we only have 15 weeks to go and we cant wait got to get the hen party out of the way first of course.

My husband and i were married at the grecian sands in september 2007.We had an amazing time. The sea view deck is wonderful. We got married at 4pm then had a sit down meal in the Venus suite. The ceremony is very short but lovely all the same. The good thing is once the photos involving your guests are done they can then go inside and have drinks while you finish having your photos done.

Suzanne, the hotels wedding co-ordinator is fab. After the initial meeting with her, she sorts out everything for you.She is around the hotel all the time too in case you need to ask her any questions.

I would definately recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to get married in cyprus. We couldn%26#39;t fault a thing.

Good luck with everything and hope you have a wonderful time.

Hi ya..thanks for your trip advisor update, i found it really helpful..My partner %26amp; i are planning our wedding for sept 2010 and will be booking it next week when the new prices are released. We are torn between nissi beach and grecian sands?! we want to get married at the hotel in the gazeebo, then have champagen %26amp; canapees and then a bbq buffet. what area%26#39;s around the hotel would your recommend having the champagne in the afternoon and then the evening dinner? I love being outdoors so ideally would like to remain outside however we may need a sheltered area for the evning where we also want to hire a disco..can you recommend or give us any help..thatnks very much, look forward in hearing from you.shell..
