car hire

Hi just wondering if anybody can reccomend a good place to rent a car in the Paphos area?

It will be sometime in the first two weeks of July.

Any other info/dos and donts people may think of will also be greatly appreciated.

I have never rented a car abroad before so i am trying to cover for every eventuality.

Just back from Paphos. I used Easy Rent A Car Ltd. See web link below. The car was not brand new but I would say it was decent, and for 22 euros per day for a 10 day hire was good value. That price included ALL insurances, some want extra to cover damage to wheels and underside of the car.

Also they left the car just outside the airport for me, and I dropped it back at the same place for no extra charge. I checked a few companies out before booking and none could beat these guys. They are a bit slow on the email responses but everything worked out fine in the end. Somebody else on this forum recommended them.

Driving is on the left as in UK. Road signs good-get a map and you should be fine. Stick to speed limits at all times. Some of the roadside kerbs are high - have seen a couple of exhausts ripped off and a bumper or two! Large free car park in centre of Paphos harbour area.

Thats brilliant thanks for the quick replys. How does the insurance work? Can i get fully covered etc? I dont fancy getting a bump and then having to use my holiday spending money to pay for it. Cheers

As with most companies there is a small excess. but for a couple of euros a day extra insurance you can have no excess.
