First time in cyprus

I was hoping to visit cyprus end of june . Could anyone help me where is best to stay (any good hotels), if it is easy to hire a car and drive round the island and what%26#39;s the weather like in june/beginning of July. I will be travelling with my husband and my 3year old son so I am looking for child friendly areas, but also a few places of interest.

Thanks

Hi LillaMalta

Just about every hotel in cyprus is very good but without knowing where you plan to stay initially I can%26#39;t give you all the hotels.

Yes it is very easy to drive about Cyprus from west side to the east side will take you between 2.5 - 3 hrs, about the same north to south, like everywhere else in the Med easy to hire a car.

Weather in June, understatement very Hot, drink plenty of water and also head gear for the little chap. nearly all places in cyprus are child friendly and abundance of sights throughout the country

Thanks for your reply, we will be landing at Larnaca airport so I thought maybe Ayia Napa would be good. Any suggestions please.

Thanks again

I think possibly Protaras or Pernera might suit you. Lots of lovely hotel, superb beaches. Every part of Cyprus is child friendly - the Cypriots love children.

Thanks , Could you please advise on a good hotel in ta\hat area preferably near the beach thanks again for your help

Have a look at The Domniki and The Anais Bay Hotel - both in Protaras. You should find them on the Olympic website. They are small family run hotels.

Hello,

Having been a frequent visitor to Cyprus since my teens - quite a few years ago now!! I%26#39;ve moved on from Ayia Napa to Protaras. I agree with the previos answer - Protaras ideal.... the whole resort is child friendly. Hotels. If you want absolutely on the beach - ie you can literally watch your child from your sunbed in the hotel I%26#39;d suggest Constantinos the Great which is 5 star, child friendly. There are quite a few hotels right on the beach in Protaras which are also right in the cenre of things. Constantinos, Vrissiana next door which is mainly adult now but you are free to use the facilities of the both hotels, the Iliada, Silver Sands and the Sunrise beach. The hotels are generally very high standard in comparison to some other areas. Plentry car hire around and easy to get to the places of interest. Driving on the left so same as Malta. Weather July will be hot hot hot - take factor 300 and plenty hats and t shirts for your son.

Cant wait until the 10th May for my next visit. IS Elvis still living does anyone know??!!!! Not really looking for an answer but the pub where Elvis is on every night is a hoot (once)

Yes, Elvis is alive and well!
