Staying in Ayia Thekla without a car...?

Hi,

Me and three friends have hired a villa in Ayia Thekla (Oceania Villas... anybody know of them?) and we dont really want to hire a car, is this a bad choice? Do buses run regularly through Ayia Thekla? We understand that this is a quiet area and we dont mind walking but will need to buy groceries, find restaurants and will want to visit Golden Bay and Macronissos etc, are they walkable? Are there shops in Ayia Thekla?

Would appreciate any response as i cant find any information on the area!

Thanks in advance x

there are supermarkets near by near the olympic lagoon and around that area you can walk along nissi ave also the beach shouldnt be too far away the shops around there tend too be a bit more expensive we hired a car and go too paraliminni there are 3 or 4 big super markets there you could get a taxi there and back it could save you cash in the long run as it is a lot chaeper up there tahn around where youre staying ps we just come back today. also you could get a bus up 1.50 euros and taxi back
