Nissi Beach/Ayia Napa in June

A few questions:

1. I%26#39;ve never been to Cyprus but I love beautiful lagoon type beaches. Is Nissi Beach like this?

2. How will the weather be in mid June?

3. I like the fact that Ayia Napa is busy but I don%26#39;t like overcrowded touristy places and I%26#39;m not into clubbing. Are there enough bars, restaurants, shopping and things to visit in town?

thanks!

1) Nissi Beach is not like this. Fig Bay is. This is found in Protaras. There is also the Cape Greko which is found further up from Ayia Napa. This is a national park.

2) The weather will be very very warm! Tres bon!

3) Ayia Napa is extremely touristy. It was once a fishing village and then boom! A touristy town. There are more bars, restaurants and nightclubs in this town than there are shops. This is essentially a place where people sunbathe and swim in the sea/pool, eat and then club at night.

You are probably better off going to either Paphos or Protaras. Lots of lovely beaches, a few lagoon bays (found mostly in Latsi near Paphos) and lots of restaurants, shoppings and things to do in town (Protaras is much quieter you will need to do excursions out of town). And lastly enough bars.

Go a little further up than Nissi to Macronnissos beach its much better in my opinion and a lot less busy
