Paphos - too quielt resort???

Hi, looking to go to Paphos to visit a friend. I love busy places with lots of things to do and lots of possibilities of clothes shopping. I am little bit worried that Paphos is too quilet. As I seen pictures it doesnt look like the beaches are full of people and streets full of shops.. Shall I look at different place in Cyprus???

Well, as the reason you are visiting Paphos is to see your friend, staying somewhere else doesn%26#39;t really seem to be an option as the busier resorts are across the island.

To be honest with you, Paphos doesn%26#39;t have great shopping. There are a few high street names such as Next, Debenhams, M%26amp;S but they don%26#39;t sell anything that you can%26#39;t get in the UK and are usually more expensive.

I have the Trafford Centre on my doorstep so don%26#39;t tend to look for clothes whilst on holiday but some of the local experts may be able to direct you to better shopping.

The beaches are full of people in the summer months but the ones in Paphos itself are not the kind of beaches that have the thumping music blaring out all day. If you are looking for that kind of beach scene then the beach at Coral Bay is the one for you. It gets packed and it is very loud.

Thank you so much for the reply, its very helpful..

I looked up at a coral bay and it looks beutiful.. There were agencies on the internet advertising seasonal jobs and through them I may be able to find a job in a busier resort, can you tell me please which resort is the busies with lots of shopping, beach and busy night life? I wouldnt like to go to Paphos and not be able to enjoy it even it has some beautiful sites..

Your unswer is very appreciated

I would imagine that if you are looking for casual bar or restaurant work for the summer season then Ayia Napa would be more suitable.

It is a very young place with lots of music bars and nightclubs and you may be lucky enough to pick up work.

It is being reported that tourism numbers are down on previous years so it may be that there are not many jobs around this season.

Paphos last week was deserted.
